I think this may have been done before, but I'm not sure. I chose something with an "M" because I remember watching SS a while back and when Hermione shows Harry and Ron the Quidditch display case, next to James' badge I remember seeing 'Minerva M. i chose Katherine because that just sounds good. Minerva Katherine McGonagall.

I think Catherine sounds good, but I put it with a C, because that seems to be the more traditional spelling while K is more modern, I think. I was thinking more about when Min was born.
Though, for some reason, I seem to remember a Minerva M McGonagall as well. Or perhaps its just all the fanfic I've read.

I prefer the spelling with a C, but I don't think that is Minerva's middle name. I never use her middle name in my fics becasue I can't find one that I like or that has not become overused.

Usually, in my stories, (which i will finish someday) I use "Anne" but I really like "stubborn." I would love to have seen umbridge going through the staff files and coming upon a Minerva Stubborn McGonagall. She certainly lives up to it though...

That would be quite amusing to do. I think I'm gonna do it... And I'll have a sentance where Albus is just staring at Fudge, cuz he was with Umbridge, and Albus just adjusts his glasses (not letting go of Min) and says, "Well, Cornelius, don't just stand there sputtering like a doodle bug. Close the ruddy door." And when he goes to, Minerva is like, "From the outside, please." And Fudge, like the whole time, is just staring at them, shocked, as he closes the door and stands outside, just staring at the door. And Umbridge faints. Haha. ~mmadlyinlove~
