I would love it if they had been married 40-50 years; that would be ideal.
But I think the truth is that they have an understanding between them of how they feel but can't move beyond where they are because of their positions in the school and in society.

I really hope that's true laundrybasket!! I do like writing about them when they've been married awhile...if Jo doesn't say anything about them in book 7 we'll just say that Albus and Minerva have been married for as long as we like!  |

I change my mind fairly frequently about this (anyone who has read my fics can attest to this) but generally they're mainly together but not married. lol

While I feel like they're NOT married and are just together, I still think it could be roughly 30-40 years for either.
But, I absolutely adore fanfics where they've been in love for the longest of time and finally are getting the courage to tell each other! It's just so sweet...

I agree with Lady Tabz, it doesn't really matter how long they've been together. For me it just matters that they're together.
I like angst only if there's a happy ending or if it makes me cry.

I don't care much for angst unless it's really well written. Ironically, I've written angst a couple of times...  I said married for 10-20 years. I dunno why, but that almost seems to fit to me. Maybe 20-30, though. |

what can I say...I'm an angsty Hufflepuff.
The wait until DH is killing me, because I want to know if JK is going to mention this ship or not and yet I'm afraid she won't and I'll be really disapointed. So if she doesn't, I'm sticking with the angsty theories that CC and I have agreed upon!

Although I want to believe they're together, I can't, really. I think at the most they're everything but married. And at the least your two's horrible theory. It's sad to think of.
