OK, here I go - now, that I found out how to get my Avatar to this board and so on....
I guess, I am one of the "Oldies", as my kids already are 21, 19 and 16. I am german, but have lived in NC, USA for 3 years twenty years ago. I read the HP books with my children since right away when the first one was published.
I am also a big Lord of the Rings-Fan and love to notice all the motives JKR took from Tolkien (I sure don't mind her doing that). And because the LotR-films were out first...my Albus looks like Ian McKellens Gandalf (and I cannot warm up to either of the HP-film-Albus-actors, sorry!)
Since I finished the last HP-book I am into FF. First I found a Snape-centered Forum, than I moved to FF.net, where I discovered MMADfan and many more of you ;D, and finally, via "Fabulousdames", which I visit as a huge Maggie-Fan, I made my entry here.

I suppose I ought to introduce myself properly. I've actually been lurking (and occasionally posting) on these boards for a little while now.
I'm Polly. I'm 22 and I live in Sydney, Australia. I sort of got into HP by accident (dared to read them by a friend) but became avidly attached around the point of GoF, probably because my fanfic-obsessed mind had become consumed with all things Snape by then. I was always much more interested in the teachers than the students. Especially McGonagall and Snape. I fell into ADMM from there.
I write a lot of fanfic but don't post much. I have a little bit up on ff.net (including some ADMM) but most things remain unfinished on my desktop for years and years.
I won't go on and on; I hope I get to know some of you better and maybe I'll even post some of my fics. I'm sure you'll get a better sense of who I am from that than this thing.

I'm into chemistry and history as majors. I am a black belt in karate, which I teach. I also sing (although not very well) in my church choir. I love ADMM (of course). Hey, I'm Luecleste (It's short for Luemes't en cleste's avente's- "Luminous body of the heavenly sky"- My Night Elf Rogue's name in World of Warcraft), but you can call me Lue (Loo-ay... i often got Luey and i'd go, huh?)

I'm 21 years old, enjoy reading and writing, like Snape, (The character in the books has energy all to himself, and Alan Rickman portrays it perfectly), the pairing of MMAD interests me because of it's possibilities. For humour and exploration mostly. (It also makes a good storyline)

I too always envisioned Dumbledore a bit like Gandalf the Grey. Serious and full of power when needed, eccentric and whimisical when not. Maybe also a bit like Belgarath. The seedyish old man always full of mischief, but when he becomes Belgarath.... (David and Leigh Eddings fans will get this)

so we've established I play WoW (Lvl 63 right now), Like HP, LOTR and Eddings. There's really not much more to say.

I am working on a story right now though that has some interesting possibilities- a strange woman takes the position of DADA professor, a small auburn haired woman, with a past relationship to both Dumbledore, and McGonagall. One who is also special beyond the belief of many people.... (And having a fiancee who speaks Latin will help )

I live somewhere on the shores of the Gulf, where no one has the remotest idea what ADMM is so, I mostly depend on you guys to keep my shipping alive! I'm 13, love reading and writing, also photography, mythology, anthropology, history and swimming. Well, my real name is Jenna. My username is Gifted. I used to be called Gift of Imagination, but people just called me Gift so I shortened it to Gifted to be funny. You may call me whatever you like.

Personality wise, my friends have compared to be like Dumbledore. I am the glue that holds everyone together in a lot of situations and I try to be just and think of other people's feelings. Morals matter a lot to me. Otherwise, I am pretty nice and it takes me while to get mad.

I love to draw, write, read, and sing. I'm hoping to become a character designer (gifted2212.deviantart.com/ for some of my art). I love to write and read fanfiction (www.fanfiction.net/u/466183/). I mostly read Harry Potter, especially MMAD. I am pretty open to different pairings, but only when in character. I also like reading humor.

For a few of my favorite things (not all of them), I like Sailor Moon, Hamtaro, Cardcaptor Sakura, Disney, Disney Channel, Harry Potter, Disneyland, and a few musicals (I'm sad to say I haven't seen much yet, but I'm determined to see more).

How I came to read and like ADMM?
Since Minerva is my favourite character - and was from the very first moment - I was content with the books and films for a long time. Ok, not so much the films because she is (mostly) always cut, but that's another story. When I first came across ff.net I read stories concerning mostly TV-series, but after some time I switched to HP and first read in general, but then I concentrated on Minerva and it was inevitable to have some ( rather many, fotunately ;D ) ADMM-fictions there. So, I started to read it and liked it instantly. Now, I'm absolutely addicted to this ship!
Sorry, for that long story.

I also began to write fiction on ff.net ( under the name of Kathinka, too).

Things I like not HP or fan fiction related:
I love to read. I couldn't live without books. I also like Volleyball and sing in the choir of my church.

You know, I've been on this board for over a year and never posted here!

So, my name is Sarah. I am five feet, four inches tall, weigh 101 pounds, have shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes. I live in Colorado now, though I was born in New York City and then moved to Maryland when I was about 4, and I lived there until... actually, until I joined the boards.

I went to an all-girls boarding school for high school, which I loved, and miss terribly.

I'm in college right now, at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and I'm an Anthropology major.

I received my IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma this past year.

I just finished writing a novel about my boarding school.

My favourite movie is "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", starring the one and only, the incomparable, the magnificent Maggie Smith; my favourite book is also "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", and I have read it 72 times to date.

My favourite playwrights are Peter Shaffer and Noel Coward: my favourite Shaffer play is "Black Comedy", and my favourite Coward play is "Private Lives".

I started reading the Harry Potter books before they were published in the U.S. - my best friend from elementary school had the British version of the first book, and I fell in love with them. And yes, from the first few pages, I thought that Albus and Minerva were a couple.

I am mercifulheavens. I am short with long blonde hair and green eyes. I am neither underweight or overweight and I eat to live not live to eat.
