Hello there, I think it's time for an introduction  after I have been reading all your stories for several days now. So, what is it you should know about me? Okay, let's see... I'm from Germany, so please be gentle whenever you discover any flaws in my English but I'm a great Britain-fan and try to spend my holidays there whenever possible (I hope I will manage three weeks on the island this year). I'm crazy about books and chocolate and you should definitely avoid me if you are shy about being on any photos. Amongst my friends I'm feared for taking loads of them *muahaha* Last October I started studying medicine and perhaps I'll be a doctor in five years... but there is still soooo much work to do *mpf* I'll stop writing any more before you are all bored to death  Keep writing, you brighten my days!!! Hi, all! Well, I'm not 100% new to the boards -- as you may have noticed I've been posting a story for the last couple of months! -- but I don't think I ever introduced myself properly. (Blame my laziness in exploring the different forums, but I didn't see this thread until recently.)
Anyhoo, I had been reading the board on and off for around a year and a half when I was suddenly gripped by the desire to write a MMAD story that had been ratttling around in my brain for quite some time. I thought this would be the perfect place to start posting it, but wanted a penname that would accurately reflect my current fanfic obsession: ADMM. Hence, MMADfan, which fortunately had not been taken here or on ffnet.
I am somewhere in my forties (I forget myself, occasionally), but sometimes feel and look much younger and sometimes feel (and hopefully don't look!) much older! I haven't written fanfic until recently, although I do tons of writing in my work. I am currently "underemployed," hence the more frequent updates to my story (which will not -- I hope -- continue once I become more fully employed!).
As far as 'shipping, ADMM definitely seems not only a natural, but an absolutely wonderful 'ship. I love both characters, and I think they have enough in common while being enough unlike to make them an interesting pair. I have a few non-RaM ADMM stories filed away in the back of my mind to write once RaM is finished (which it will be, even though it may seem to go on forever). ("RaM" is my acronym for "Resolving a Misunderstanding," which is a mouthful!) I am also writing a MMAD-ish story in response to a Potter Place Prompt Challenge, which is being posted over at The Petulant Poetess and is called "An Act of Love." It's definitely NC-17, and chapter 3 has major MMAD lemons. It's nice to write a MMAD story that assumes an established relationship, since they are just girl thingy-footing around each other in RaM.

About MMADfan: Shamefully fond of reviews, MMADfan is a "forty-something" who grew up in New York State and relocated to the Mid-Atlantic about a decade ago. Far too serious in RL, fanfic provides her a relaxing outlet. Likes any animal that doesn't want to eat her, but is especially fond of cats, border collies, and Jack Russells. Likes people pretty well, too, most of the time!
Anyhooo, that's me! I must say that there are many very nice people on the boards. If it hadn't been for you all, RaM would have died a quiet death after the first five or six installments, and I certainly wouldn't have posted it elsewhere! (Of course, I may have spent my time doing something more sensible and profitable, too! LOL!)

Hi! I've also been on this board for a while, but I decided to get a bit active, instead of just reading! My name is Hester and I live in the Netherlands. Luckily, my english has improved greatly since I started reading fanfiction ;D . I got slowly sucked in to de MMADness... It started with just reading a story once a week, but by now I'm reading every day! This board is a great way to keep the imagination flowing too and I have already noticed that everyone is really nice around here . Hes |

I am a lurker, just to warn people.
Anways, I am actually an old member from the beginning, but I gave up HP for about.....two years? So this is the rejuvinated me.
My name is Diana, I live in Raleigh, North Carolina and desperately want to leave. I'm sixteen and heavily involved in band (french horn and mellophone), art, HP, CSI, writing, and school.
I'm a High Red belt in Tae Kwon Do, but won't be doing it much longer. I love to travel, the mountains (for one reason, there is less pollen), marching band and band in general, and art.

Hey all, I just joined and thought I should at least say hi, so hi. If any of you want, you can shorten my name to GX, GZX or GZ, whatever you like.
I like sci-fi and miniture gaming as well apart from writing, and I do some graphics work as well. I also like to draw, play my Nintendo DS and just do fun things....okay I'm not very good at these intro threads so I'll just end it by saying, this is a cool forum and I am looking forward to a lot of fun (hopefully).

Hi! I only joined a few weeks ago but I have become somewhat hooked on this board and I thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself.
I've been hooked on all things Harry Potter ever since some friends of mine dragged me along to see "The Philosopher's Stone" at the cinema. I had started reading the book before, but I never got through more than the first chapter then - the magic just didn't grab me at that time. I first started ploughing the net for fanfiction in the run up to "The Half-Blood Prince" to make the long wait a little easier.
In real life I'm a 27 year old law grad from Germany currently preparing for the equivalent of the bar exam to start a brilliant career as a lawyer next year. But for now my ambition is to rise from the rank of First-Year Student to Gryffindor Seeker!
