I wrote an introduction on here a few days ago and then felt really stupid about it and thus deleted it- I really AM an idiot  Anyway, yes, I am an ignoramus called Kayleigh. I live in Plymouth, England, and am a first year student at Oxford University (yay for the pretentious geekishness- if indeed this is actually a word  ). I am a huge fan of MM and AD (especially AD) and also find Snape (or rather, Alan Rickman) hot  |

Omigosh, I didn't know there was a thread for introductions until just now! And here I was barging in advertising my views to the world without properly presenting myself. Well, let's see...I'm currently a sophomore at Duke University in North Carolina, USA, my iPod is currently playing David Bowie, and, um, let's see...I'm currently reading a book about the construction of the Erie Canal, which sounds incredibly dry but someone recommended it and said it was really interesting. OK, iPod has moved on to The Go-Go's of all things, so I'll move on. I've been enjoying some of the MMAD prose, and maybe I'll contribute something eventually. Pleased to make your collective aquaintance. *curtsies*

Hi everyone, I've been around for about 10 months without ever entering this common room. *shame on me* So let me introduce myself, hope it's not too late. I've been an ADMM shipper for about 3 years. English is not my mother toungue, hence the mistakes. I'm 26 and teach at a university *survived my 1st year!!!!!!*Like everyone else here, I'm a HP nut, prof. McGonagall is my favourite character and, unlike everyone else, I don't think Shape is hot - PLEASE DON'T KILL ME. I like Alan Rickman, though (if that is any help)

My name is Thais, I started reading AD/MM stories last year, and though I love reading, I'm not a really good writer I don't post much, but I'll be reading everything available around here ^^ I have a strange love for the not-such-a-hero-Albus from Deathly Hallows, I'm a Luna Lovegood fan and I hate eating fish... So....how pathetic is this?! I joined in 2005.....and I only have 2 posts....not including this one! o.o Anyway, I might have officially introduced myself already, I really don't remember! Funnily (not a word I'm sure) enough, I tried to register again not even remembering that I had already done so! Obviously I figured that out, as I always use the same sn, well, for the most part anyway. My name is TabbyKit...or Tabbs, or Kit, as both have been used in reference to moi ^_^ I've been on fictionalley since 2003, and I am an accomplished lurker! I've also written a few stories and posted them on fanfiction.net, such as Protector, My Beloved Muggle World, Frogs Legs, Minerva Watched the Ring....etc..... *end shamless plug* I'm currently working on a new story called, at the moment, Minerva Dumbledore..... I too think Alan Rickman as Snape is hot....(to a certain degree) and I also melt listening to him speak!  ;D |

Hey everyone!
I've been a lurker here for months, but I think I'd like to get officially involved! I *ADORE* ADMM and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to discover that I wasn't the only one shipping them....far from it!
Min is my favorite character in the series--also love Dumbledore (obviously), Ron, Tonks and everyone.
Also, I want to agree with the sentiment that when you have Dame Maggie, who needs JK?? (I adore JK...but seriously...way to be lame.) I'm obsessed with Maggie.

I've been a member for a few days now, but every time I get around to making this post I can't think of anything to write.
I'm relatively new to actually shipping Albus/Minerva. Up until recently I only just thought they may be a couple or at least would make a good pair.
I wish I'd known about this board earlier... Oh well, I've found it now!

Hi everyone, as you can tell I'm a newbie. I found the board after I finished reading DH. Only wish I found it before, but I guess because of this board I've found a new appreciation for the movies. Both for the AD/MM-ness of some scenes, and Alan Rickman's portrayal of Snape. |

Hello! I'm new, a radical thinker who believes anythings possible. I absolutely adore MMAD but I don't treally enjoy fluff. I write some fanfiction but am a little late in posting, can not do fanart to save my life. I am in the middle of learning how to make fan vids... not too good at it though I usually make 1-3 spelling errors per post (sorry about that ) Ispend 97% of my time daydreaming, 1% working at school, 1% doing other random stuff and 1% rushing to get assignments done last thing at night the day before they are due because my priorities suck...... Hi, I'm the Black-haired Witch. I like well-written fanfiction. I love well-written fanfiction that also has a great plot, fascinating characters, and interesting or moving themes. Poorly written fanfiction causes me to break out in hives, and you don't want to know the effect that truly badly written fanfiction has on me!
There are a lot of great stories out there, waiting for someone to tell them. There are also a lot of mediocre and even dreadful stories out there waiting to be told. The most dreadful story in the world can become indescribably worse by being badly written, and the best, most inventive, most fascinating story can become unreadable when it is poorly written.
To improve the general quality of writing in fanfiction is my mission. Call me quixotic, if you wish, and perhaps I am, but I will keep tilting at the windmills presented by bad prose until I finally fall from my steed (My High Horse)! (Oh, and feel free to ignore me or to call me names --- whatever you prefer! After all, it is pretty pretentious of me to come riding in here on My High Horse giving everyone writing advice! But don't worry, it's not personal, and I won't take it personally if you don't like my advice. That's part of being quixotic!)

If you recognize yourself in one of my commentaries (such as my first one, and you had not hitherto discovered the use of the pinkie finger to hit the enter key and create paragraph breaks --- and it seems that is not the case), it is fortuitous, for then you may benefit from my advice. And I do not intend to criticize anything simply because it is not to my individual taste (except insofar as it may break one of The Black-Haired Witch's General Rules for Fanfiction). If a writer wishes to write Snupin, for example, I may find that either an exciting or a revolting pairing, but my commentary would not be directed at it based upon my enjoyment or disgust for their choice of pairing. And since you have requested some constructive advice, I will take a look at your stories this week and if I see something that inspires the Black-Haired Witch in her quest for better fanfiction, I will address it in a general post, without naming you, and will send you a PM to let you know. *waves timidly* Hello all. Well I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Stefani. I am finally searching around the site instead of just going to the fanfiction. Hope I wasn't too rude. I am a Girl Raised In The South--well as far south as you can get in the States, anyway. I live next door to the "Mouse." The last time I spent too much time on my computer speaking to anyone I met my husband and that was six years ago. lol. My, how time does fly! I'm not quite sure how I came across this site, but I have only been reading fanfiction for about 4 or 5 months. I originally started by looking up all things Alan Rickman and Severus Snape..*sigh* so I tend to agree with StormAngelxx. I would like to thank MMADfan for introducing me to this ship though. I simply adore her work and she is, by far, my favorite fanfic author. ;D *tips hat to MMADfan* I also think that Minerva and Albus make a wonderful pairing. When I read I have a tendency to block everthing out. Apparently I do the same when I read fanfic as well. At least my husband tells me so. When I started reading I didn't ever think I would write anything, it had been a VERY long time. But I finally felt inspired again.
