I don't know if anyone else noticed, but when Albus escorts Harry into the arena at the maze, you can see a silver ring on his left ring finger.

I noticed that too!! I saw it when I went to see the film with my fiercely anti-ADMM friend, but not when he escorts Harry into the maze- it was when he was leaning over the Pensive in his office (not the scene where he argues with Minerva; the scene where he speaks to Harry). His hands are clutching the basin and you can see it then as well ^^ My friend tried to come up with tons of excuses but I refused to believe any of them and spent the rest of the day muttering "I knew they were married"

Are you serious, i already watched the movie, but i didn't see the silver ring on Albus's hand, i must have missed it. i should go watch it again, when i get the movie. but that is very interesting, it would be so wonderful if they really were married secretly for all these years. ;D maybe they are, did anyone actually ask J.K. Rowling to varify this? it would also be sad though, if they did end up being married for the last who knows many years, seeing as Dumbledore just died. Oh well , but i'm still angry at J.K for killing off Dumbledore, no matter who says its good for the story line.

Really?! Wow, I've never noticed that. Minerva better be wearing one too, because if he or she is married to anyone else I don't know what I'll do. Probably just ignore it. haha Maybe J.K. was trying to tell us that they're married by putting a ring on his finger in the movie (<< me with wishful thinking).

Of course it may not be a wedding ring at all, but I'm hoping it means he and Minerva are married.
Do we ever really see enough of Minerva's left hand to see a ring?

Do we ever really see enough of Minerva's left hand to see a ring? No, unfortunatly. Although, we did in CoS (the "Sherbet Lemon" part), but there was no ring.

We talked about this at one point but I can't seem to find the thread. It went back to the fact there are things in the third movie according to JKR that are plot reveils for the end of the series. After reading HBP, I went back and watched PoA looking tyring to find what it might be. Albus' ring was one of the things I noticed.

Did Albus wear a ring in PoA too? I certainly didn't notice that!

Okay, so we'll probably find out in the last book that he is/was married to someone. *prays that it's Minerva!!!* I do remember reading that JK said that the movie reveals things to the plot of the end of the series...

Btw, I've been looking at the wrong scene in the movie! I've been watching the part with him, the pensieve, and Minerva. Gah, I'm so dumb. lol

Arrrrgh it'd better be Min or i'll be very dissappointed!!! Whoa, the alternative would be awful. Remus bent forward, his serious grey face close to Harry's. "Harry... Dumbledore was secretly married..." Harry sat up, shocked. "What?!" "...To Sybil Trelawney." Sadly I doubt the clue Jo was talking about was Albus's ring. It was probably just some random part of the new costume design. It would be nice if it was now... *crosses fingers after reading Mugglenet interview saying that we will "find out more about Dumbledore."*

I didn't notice the ring in POA. Next time I watch it I will have to look out for it.
It is possible its just costume design, but I will remain optimistic about the possibility of the ring meaning he is married to Minerva.

As much as I like the idea, I don't think the silver ring can be guaranteed to represent ADMM. I have often noticed in other movies that older actors often keep their rings on in the movie, even if they are not playing the husband of a character.

Alesia, it was a thread started by me. Threads started by me disappear with alarming speed...remember that looking for a story thread that is gone as well? I started the thread when the first pics of GOF were released months ago.

It's gonna be Minerva. There is NO way on Earth JK hasn't found out about the ADMMness 'round the world. *crosses fingers and toes...cries when cracked toe joint moves* I'll be ok! ~Branda~

I think Albus just wears a lot of rings (this version of him anyway), though it would be awesome if it was a wedding ring. The shipper in me got totally excited for a whole ten seconds as I was reading HBP and Slughorn said something about the new ring that Albus was wearing. But then of course I realized that it was not a wedding ring...bloody horcrux

the ring can't be part of the costume because thats a very specific finger. hopefully it does mean something since michael gambon isn't married and wouldnt wear a ring on that finger.

Not married? Great! There's hope yet! But let's face facts, we can't KNOW if he and Min are married unless JKR tells us. But we can speculate as much as we like!

Yeah, we should write to JK and tell her that she killed half our ship... the least she could do is tell us they were married!!
