Just over a year ago I met this great girl (who's now my bestest buddy! And will probably die if she reads this! ) and we bonded over Stargate. She mentioned a couple of times that she wrote HP fanfic. I was intrigued, I didn't know HP fanfic existed, but she absolutely refused to let me read her stories - until a couple of months ago that is. When she finally did, I was like "Dumbledore and McGonagall? Are you kidding?" I'd never thought about it before, though I loved the characters individually I was dubious about putting them together. And then I read 'Nouveau' - I've been hooked ever since. I rarely read anything BUT ADMM these days and I can't stop writing. Anybody who's wating for that all important chapter five of Nouveau rest assured that I pressure her to finish it on a weekly basis. She WILL finish it! Or else!!!! lol. And that's how I got hooked. I was lucky enough to meet Cranky Cauldron otherwise I doubt I would ever have read any Harry Potter fanfiction ever! My god, what would I be doing with my time? ~Aphelion~

I don't even know. I think one day I just was browsing FF.net and decided to see what HP fics there were. I originally shipped MM/RL for about 6 months, then I think I finished reading all of the stories and got bored with the pairing. I ended up going over to the PD section and reading, and then, after reading the work of some authors who ship ADMM as well as C/J from PD, I just clicked on an ADMM story. Sadly, I don't even remember the story that got me hooked, or which author it was. But the rest is history!

Well, I basically just started shipping them obsessively when GOF movie came out, then decided to search for fics on fanfiction.net, found some really good ones and was hooked on ADMM fanfiction from then on. ;D One I particularly enjoyed was one where they switched bodies, it was one of the best fics I've ever read.

... After I read about half of the first book 3 years ago... But I didn't have a computer to myself then... And my classmates decided to introduce me to ff.net, found out that there is such a pairing, and I'm hooked!!

Umm...I think I was bored one day and checked out fanfiction.net and the first story I came across was ADMM. At first I was a bit apprehensive as I had always thought of Minerva as being 35 (no idea why - it something to do with the raven-black hair) so I had a bit of a squick moment. Then I read the fic (I think it was 'A Tabby and Her Kit' which is brilliant I'll just add) and adored it. But I can see Minerva with most people (and I write her with most people). lol. But ADMM is definitely my fav though I do had a soft spot for Sirius (it's something to do with the Cat and Dog thing).

Much like most of everyone here, I was just browsing through and found a MM/AD ficiton. I was instantly hooked, their love is just too adorable for words! At first I was like "EwKay...", but it's just so sweet!
Although I have to say... I dislike any kind of fics from when McGonagall was a student and Dumbledore was her teacher. I am not sure why, but I feel like student teacher boudries should not be overstepped (I rarely make exceptions)

Mine is a rather funny story. I was watching Chamber of Secrets with my bestest friend in the whole world (just after the dvd had come out), and it was at the part where Snape is yelling at Harry and Ron for the flying car incident and Min and Al came in. My friend Christy (who is a Slytherin and a huge slash writer) looked at me and said, "Don't you notice how every time Albus shows up somewhere Min is there with him? I know she's his deputy, but they seem to be together more than they should be, really..." I laughed and said, "Yeah, maybe they're married!" And we laughed and I stopped and was like, "Woah!" And it kinda went from there. Hahaha. And it helps that Maggie is my fave actress of aaaaaalllllllllll time. Hahaha. ~mmadlyinlove~

Ah, I love that part when Minerva and Albus come in together during Chamber of Secrets. They do that a lot in that movie, actually...

It's good to know there's someone else out there who shares my opinion! I'm trying to convince my cousin, but she refuses to read any MMAD fanfictions... I just know she'll love them. I don't know what she has against the couple.

I will usually only read it if it's at the very end of her 7th year or if it's REALLY well written.

I don't mind the student/teacher fics though I do agree it MUST be in her seventh year. I read one where she was in her 5th year and had a MAJOR squick moment and refused to read any further. lol. In general student/teacher tends to make me feel fairly nauseous but as someone above said if its well-written and is plausible then why not? And as for getting hooked on ADMM...I have to admit that I may be pushing myself away from them. And I blame my friend for this! She made me write a fic with the song 'Sway' by Michael Bulble and I paired Minerva with Sirius (for those who don't know that fic its called 'Sway Me Smooth.) And now I've read others with that pairing and it is SO sweet and adorable and...I'll stop babbling now. I think I've said it before but its the cat and dog thing. It's just too perfect. lol

I was on Shurtugal ( an Eragon fan site) and I saw the ad for F.F Net, and I clicked om it straight away! I think I went to the HP section and a MMAD fic was there, so I read it, cos' as soon as I saw it, I thought it was definitely the best ship ever! I always new there was something between them, they always appear togather in the films, and I always wished there was more about Min in the books.

I got hooked in quite a boring way, actually I was looking around FF.net and stumbled across an AD/MM fic. At first I thought, "Okaaaaay, that a bit odd," but then I reread the books and I was like, "Oh my God, they were right!" So, I googled "Albus and Minerva fanfiction" and this sight was first on the list. And I've been addicted ever since! ;D

my grandfather is completely obsessed with this ship. He got me into it. I didn't believe him at first and told him he was crazy. One summer I stayed with him in his beach house and we watched the first and second movies (it was the only ones out at the time) and he'd pause it on the moments. Then he gave me the books that were highlighted in the moments. Now we're super close because of AD/MM

You relatives actually read HP? I am SO jealous! I have been trying, ever since I was 9, so for NINE years to get my parents to read them and will they? NO!! And I keep telling Dad all about them and he keeps saying 'Wow, that is actually quite cool' but he STILL hasn't read them. If it gets any worse I'll read them aloud. *shudders* Can you imagine read OOTP aloud?

I read all the books to my dad. He likes them but wouldn't have sat down and read them himself so I read them as he drove me places. I read HBP on a 10 hour drive to NC, have there, half back. My throat was so sore. And yes, I got choked up as I read OOTP, but in HBP I was in denial and shed no tears.

ya, my mom reads the books, but I'm the one who's all obssesive I've tried to get her into shipping, but she's just like, 'who cares?' eh, I guess I can't blame her, four kids and house to run, she doesn't have that much time.

I've told grandpa about this site earlier. He says he'll join when he gets a chance to use the computer. Me and my brothers use it alot so it might be a bit before he gets a chance to.
